Adams, James E.

James E. Adams (DMin, Westminster Seminary California) has been the pastor of Cornerstone Church in Mesa, Arizona, for more than thirty-five years and has taught theology for Reformed Baptist Seminary and in Latin America.


Adams, Jay E.

Jay E. Adams is known for his many books on counseling and frequent appearances at conferences on Christian living and counseling issues. He served for many years on the faculties of Westminster Theological Seminary and Westminster Seminary in California. He is currently the dean of the Institute for Nouthetic Studies, a distance-learning institution that provides international training in biblical counseling.


Agan, C.D. "Jimmy", III

C. D. “Jimmy” Agan (MDiv, Covenant Theological Seminary; PhD, University of Aberdeen) is Senior Pastor of Intown Community Church in Atlanta. Previously he was Associate Professor of New Testament and Director of the Homiletics Program at Covenant Theological Seminary.


Alcott, Louisa May

Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, and grew up in the Boston-Concord area of Massachusetts. She received most of her early education from her father, Bronson Alcott, a renowned educator and writer, as well as from Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, who were family friends. In 1868 she became editor of the children’s magazine Merry’s Museum and published the first volume of Little Women, a novel about four young sisters growing up in a small New England town during the Civil War. Little Women was one of the first American novels to become a classic in children’s literature. It remains one of the best-loved books for girls.


Alexander, Eric J.

Eric J. Alexander is a minister of the Church of Scotland. From 1977–1997, he was senior minister of St. George’s Tron Church in the center of Glasgow. Since then, he has traveled widely preaching and teaching at conferences and seminaries. On two occasions, he was the expositor at the Triennial Urbana Conference of IVCF.


Allberry, Sam

Sam Allberry studied at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford and has worked with Overseas Missionary Fellowship and at St. Ebbe's in Oxford, England. He is currently associate minister of St. Mary's Church, Maidenhead, UK.


Allis, Oswald T.

Oswald T. Allis was professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary for seven years, after teaching for nineteen years in the Department of Semitic Philology at Princeton Theological Seminary. He held academic degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Princeton Theological Seminary, and the University of Berlin.


Ash, Christopher

Christopher Ash is director of the Cornhill Training Course at The Proclamation Trust—an organization with the primary aim of training preachers and Bible teachers. Previously he served on the pastoral staff of the historic St. Andrew the Great in Cambridge, England.


Ashmore, Margaret

Margaret Ashmore serves on the board of the Association of Biblical Counselors and served on the support staff of Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas, for fifteen years. She speaks at conferences and retreats throughout the United States and encourages women through biblical counseling.
