Amazing Grace 360

P&R marketing associate Cherith Craig represented P&R at the PCA Women’s Amazing Grace 360 Conference in Atlanta in October. She is pictured with Lacreasha and Jessica, two young women who P&R sponsored to come to the event. Cherith was a coach in the soccer ministry of New City Fellowship PCA in Chattanooga, TN, during the previous two summers and was a mentor to the girls during that time.

P&R authors Susan Hunt (Prayers of the Bible), Elyse Fitzpatrick (Idols of the Heart), Stephanie Hubach (Same Lake, Different Boat), and Lydia Brownback (Legacy of Faith) were speakers at the event. Also, new P&R authors Pam Ferris, Kathy March, and Susan Kelton led a seminar about their journey in writing the book My Grandmother is . . . Praying for Me.

P&R gave away copies of What My Golden Retriever Taught Me about God by Rhonda McRae to women who signed up for our mailing list.

Ten Years Later We Remember

As we draw near to the 10th anniversary of this tragic day in America’s history, P&R wants to know what you think of it all as you look back and recall the many emotions of that day.

A booklet was written shortly after the events of 9/11 that addressed some of the deeper questions that are brought to the surface during life-changing events such as these: Where Was God On September 11? by John Blanchard (which can be found at several retailers).

Where were you when it happened? What were your initial thoughts and reactions? Ten years later, how do you think and feel about it all? What does 9/11 mean for you?

Take a few moments to sit and think about some of these questions and let us know your thoughts regarding this day and what it means to you.

A FINAL THOUGHT: the scripture verse below from Lamentations offers us hope and encouragement through times such as these. In Christ Jesus, we have hope even in the darkest of times! His love is unfailing and he is faithful in all things. Praise God!

Lamentations 3:20-23: I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
