About

With interest in Islam running high in the West, Christians can learn a great deal from the twentieth century’s leading missionary to Muslims. That is why Roger S. Greenway has compiled and edited ten of Samuel Zwemer’s (1867–1952) best chapters, from classic works long out of print. Greenway has also added an introduction providing an overview of Zwemer’s life and work. “Because his insights are not dated,” writes Greenway, “Zwemer needs to be heard again.”

Endorsements

"A major figure in the history of missions, Samuel Zwemer makes clear the distinctions between the gospel and Islam, and powerfully calls Christians to reach the Muslim world. Readers will discover in this unique volume material on Islam that is quite difficult to find elsewhere."

—Bruce A. McDowell, coauthor of Muslims and Christians at the Table

"Fulfills a great need in the life of the church and its institutions. I heartily recommend it."

—Anees Zaka, founder and president, Biblical Institute for Islamic Studies

"Zwemer’s pen once again speaks with clarity and love in a day when both are in short supply in Christian understanding of Muslims."

—J. Dudley Woodberry, School of World Mission, Fuller Theological Seminary
